PLESIOSAURIOS VIVOS
Starting from stories of strange aquatic monsters — Nessie in Scotland and Nahuelito in Argentina — the documentary focuses on an expedition organised by Clemente Onelli, director of the Buenos Aires Zoo in 1922, to capture a living plesiosaur in Patagonia. “We are far more interested in the humans than in the monsters. We focus on history, science, culture, art and tourism, drawing on the participation of palaeontologists, historians, journalists, researchers and cryptozoologists.”
Festival note by Alejandro Yamgotchian
Art direction, costume, literature, animation — some of the fields in which the directors of this documentary have worked, combining culture, humour and, above all, exhaustive research. It reaches great figures, spans different eras and crosses several borders. Of great testimonial value, the film gathers opinions from enthusiasts, curious observers and specialists about the famous Loch Ness Monster and its Argentine counterpart, Nahuelito, in Bariloche.
